Well, I guess I've got to apologize to everyone... I haven't been on in quite a while, but this whole depression thing is hitting my mom's business pretty bad. So, when I haven't been studying or in class, I've been back at home trying to help her out with the business. Things are finally getting better there, Thank Ringo... I missed you all a lot though, and I'm going to try and schedule time to come on here more often.

so i finally finished reading part 2. it was really really really good! brilliant analysis of a brilliant album!
my favourite part was reading about the individual songs, i like the way they look at the songs within the context of the times in which they were written and what was going on in the beatledom at the time. the charles manson article was interesting too.
AND how exciting was the news on the remasters? they sound AMAZING!!! why are we waiting...??

great article. haven't really listened to the CD yet. but well done Mojo for doing the White Album justice, considering it is often one of the less publicly celebrated beatles albums unlike Sgt Pepper and Abbey Road.

Im still going through this and i have to say that pauls interview in part two is one of the worst interviews i have ever read from him . his answers were terrible, well he didnt really answer any of the questions really and generally came over as a bit of a twat. very disappointing because the questions were good

I was rather amused how defensive he got about Maxwell's Silver Hammer, then implied Octopus's Garden was in the same boat as a novelty song. Sorry Paul, the others thought MSH was a dog because it is a dog, simple as that. OG, on the other hand, is charming and delightful, and is twice as good as Yellow Submarine, Ob La Di Ob La Da, or Rocky Racoon.

Oh my God. Oh my God! Where did you get that brownie?
Over there. There's a big pile of them.
(while eating the whole lot) Oh ma-an.
Well, what a nice fellow.

Have to pull you up on Rocky Raccoon, much better song than OG. Very clever song actually. Agree about the others though

I don't think paul came across that badly in the article, the octopus' garden thing was a bit harsh towards ringo considering ringo had only written two songs before that, but other than that I thoguht he was alright. Now i think about it he didn't really answer the questions, but then they were very specific questions and i think he was just expecting more of a chat about the white album which basically meant he didn't tell us anything new really.

George: Yeah.
Ringo: He got away from me - twice!

Reporter: Do you enjoy press conferences?
John: Yes, depending on the intelligence of the questions.

Reporter: What do you think you've contributed to the musical field?
Ringo: Records.
